River Indus: Dry and docile


In its final leg of journey towards Arabian Sea river Indus flows near Latifabad, Hyderabad. The bed of river is dry. Strong winds blow the sand towards the city. In summer this sand is very irksome for all of us. No monsoon rains yet so we will have to wait to see river flowing in its full swing.

isnt it sad that none of our great rivers can live up to the word 'river'! look at the state of the ravi....sad and a shame

Yes there are two sides for everything...but the pic still depicts the beauty of it..!
I am sure the rain will come as I hear in South Asia everywhere its raining...inshAllah it will rain here too :)

@psyched: yes you are right...rivers look more like a canal. Dry season is the major cause.
@Kawab: We got some rain on sunday night, but not enough.
@Dawn: Yes it rained on sunday night and we hope more rain will be coming.
